I present to you Barrel Racing Etiquette: 9 Rules to Keep in Mind at a Barrel Racing.
There was a time I would say try me
Never afraid of being bucked down
Long trotting horses could set me free
Despite how it made my husband frown
The terrible smells, the unpredictable weather, the way you always manage to get kicked…sounds like branding season, that wonderful time of year where the hours are long and the fellowship is strong. Typically, the last thing on one’s mind surrounding branding is “what am I going to wear”? Unless you’re a girl like me. Considering the amount of pictures that get taken at brandings and how many people are there, I want to look my best, and I’m not ashamed of that!
Who doesn’t love a plate of nachos? This particular recipe I have only started making recently and it has quickly become an easy go-to meal jam packed with flavor and lots of veggies.
Every year in June we celebrate the incredible father figures in our lives. For the equine industry, we especially send thanks out to the dads with little to no horse showing experience who continue to support us every day. Every rodeo athlete has been there, you’re excelling in the arena, placing well at just about every rodeo or jackpot you enter, winning saddles and belt buckles left and right, then one day, out of the blue, you find yourself in a slump. You’re hitting barrels, not catching your calf or missing your dally. Every rodeo athlete has experienced a slump
I love coming up with new ways to add a little flavor to vegetables but not completely do away with their natural flavor. This week’s recipe can be thrown together in a matter of minutes and cooked in less than 10 minutes.
This goes very well as a side dish with some nice steaks on the grill and garlic bread (recipe on last week’s post).
The daring cowgirl is a typical daughter of a conservative father. She stands for style and grace, and is always just a little bit more. Her pretty skin and shiny hair has been kissed by the sun and danced in the winds of the west. She rides with an easy graceful swift, but when in a race she sits far up on her mount’s withers, with her head along her horse’s neck, being guided by her wild free soul.
The word denim holds meaning to the western lifestyle. It’s a dependable fabric that makes up the jeans we wear daily. Jeans that can withstand hard labor all day and be used for a night on the town are vital. Whether you are on the back of a horse or strolling down the sidewalk, denim is a comfortable and stylish material for both men and women.
The recipe for this week is another that was a childhood favorite and continues to be a favorite today. I notice sometimes when I make a recently discovered recipe too often, I get bored with it after awhile. This recipe never seems to get old, however!
