Rodeo Season AND Bull Riding has officially started

I always love when the Rodeo, and bull riding season kicks off! It's like a western lifestyle Christmas with roughstock and cowboys all over again in January. These next couple of weeks I'm really looking forward too. This coming weekend Jan. 17th, 2015 I'll be heading to the CBR (Championship Bull Riding) in Jackson, TN! I have only been to one CBR event in my life, and this event will be my 2nd one to attend! As I mentioned, The CBR in Jackson, TN will be a season opener and the 2014 National Finals Rodeo World Champion Bull Rider Sage Kimzey will be there! The weekend after Jackson, TN I'll be heading down the trail to Murfreesboro, TN for the SEBRA (Southern Extreme Bull Riding Assoc.) Finals! A few of the riders that I'll see at the SEBRA finals this year are Brandon Davis who is now sponsored by Kimes Ranch Jeans for 2015! Second, Gardield Wilson lll and Cody Martin who is sitting in the #1 spot in the Bull Riding Standings! This will be my 2nd SEBRA event to attend and I can't wait! Now, Let's move onto the other Rodeo and Bull Riding events that were going on this past weekend!

PBR ( Professional Bull Riding)

This past weekend the PBR Built Ford Tough Series was in Chicago! If I had to choose two words to describe the event.. My two words would be.. Brazilians Dominated! First things first, Round 1 kicked off Saturday night around 8 PM and it was a pretty interesting night! Cody Webster, who is filling in for Frank Newsome right now took a pretty nifty kick and still worked his rear off to save our favorite bull riders. But, at the end of the night it comes down to the guy that can stay on his bull the longest.. The guy that stayed on his bull the longest was, Valdiron De Oliveira! Valdiron, rode his bull RMEF Big Bull for 89 points to seal the deal and picked up his first 2015 win! If you'd like to see a video of Valdiron's winning ride check out the video below.

Round 2, was and amazing night! Matt Triplett, wowed the crowd on Sunday night and pulled off a 90.75 point ride on a bull named Delco and left Chicago with a total of 370.00 points with a second place finish this weekend AND moved up to the third position in the PBR World Standings! Not a bad weekend, Right?! But, the guy that took home the PBR BFTS Chicago buckle was, Silvano Alves! Silvano, picked up the WIN in round two with an 87.75 point ride on Flint and this ride just so happened to be his 19th Consecutive bull ride! The crazy thing is.. That this PBR event this weekend was the second stop on the PBR BFTS, and this is only the first FULL week of 2015. The sky is the limit, and Silvano Alves is taking every opportunity that he can to make history! Below, is a video Of Silvano's winning ride on "Flint" (Video Credit: PBR)
