My name is Hadley Teut I am a 14 year old Freshman at Malcolm, NE High School. It is interesting because i am the only one in my school besides my brother that has an interest in rodeo. I am involved with basketball, Future Business leaders of America, 4H and i was chose to make a trip for my civics class to do an assignment at the City county building. I live in the East side of the state of Nebraska and most of our High School Rodeos are on the West side which requires a lot of traveling. But i am fortunate to have parents that love it as much as I do and sacrifice a lot to allow me the opportunities to do what i love. We travel also to Kansas, Iowa , Wyoming, and Missouri to rodeo and team rope. I am involved with the Zion Lutheran Church which i was just confirmed this last year. I got the opportunity to qualify for National Jr High Rodeo finals this last year and ended up doing well in the breakaway which is my favorite event. Winning the short go is what i feel is my biggest accomplishment so far with rodeo. I was the reserve all around cowgirl for the state of Nebraska. This is my first year of high school rodeo and have enjoyed being with my rodeo friends every weekend for almost 2 months.
My fastest breakaway run at High School Rodeo was a 1.7 this year and being a Freshman. I qualified for the National Junior High Finals in Lebanon TN and ended up 2nd in 2nd round and won the short go. I won the KC Invitational Rodeo in the breakaway. I was reserve all around cowgirl for the state of NE in Jr High Rodeo Association. I was on the Cinch Team for the state of NE as well. Won the all around at Stephens Arena which i got the opportunity to build a custom saddle from Bronco Billy's Saddlery.
