Virgil Poffenroth

My name is Virgil Poffenroth, I am a tie down roper on the Canadian Professional Rodeo Circuit. I grew up on my family's cattle ranch in the small community of Riske Creek, British Columbia. I have recently relocated to Alberta to persue my rodeo career. I grew up in rodeo and live the ranching life. I picked up a rope when I was two and ever since then I haven’t really put it down. I had a very successful rodeo career growing up as you will see in my list of accomplishments, but now it’s time to go bigger. This past rodeo season was the first year I became a full-time professional in the CPRA. In the 2014 season my biggest feat was winning the Taber Pro Rodeo with a 8.3 second time. I caught some more cheques through out the season as well.  I'm gearing up for next season, I've been training in the gym, spending all my spare time in the practice pen and getting my horses back in shape so we are ready to go come April. My season takes me through British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba and through the northern US on the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association Circuit.  I have attached a link to a YouTube video that includes rodeo highlights from my past season including the Ponoka Stampede and my winning run at Taber . It would be an honour to represent your company as a rodeo athlete next season.  I look forward to hearing from you at Kimes Ranch.
