My Story

To start off, I’m from Kent, Washington and currently reside in Cheney, Washington. I recently graduated from Eastern Washington University with three degrees, (yes three). A Bachelors in Architecture, Sociology, and Communications. I have always been a multi-sport athlete and strive to be the best and most unique person in all I do. From skiing to playing the ukulele, hunting to training horses, I strive to be the best and stand out.I think this is a quality that your brand and I have in common.

The outgoing individual I am today comes from my background. I am of African American and Japanese decent coming from a city life. I have never met my dad and was raised by a single mother. It is very easy to become a stereotype with this type of demographic, but it gave me the motivation to rise above. Challenges in my life became a blessing in disguise. They fueled me to make sure that I am the best in all I do and the most unique person possible.

After high school, while attending college I was drawn to the sport of bull riding. I started riding when I was 19 and though I started later in life, through hard work and dedication I made it to the 2015 College National Finals Rodeo my senior year.

I mentioned I was unique, one cool thing about me is for the last four years I was the mascot for EWU, “Swoop”, the eagle. I have also been the mascot for the Seattle Thunderbirds WHL Hockey team, “Cool Bird”. I am an outgoing person, and this gave me the opportunity to be my fun, goofy, original self while at the same time representing my school. This also demonstrates my ability to engage with the public and have fun while doing it

I am dedicated to rodeo and I want one day to be the best. I enjoy what I do and I love to stand out, from my gloves to my chaps, to my gear bag to my boots. I like to be flashy and stylish.

That’s why I would love to be a part of the Kimes ranch jeans so much. When I go to buy jeans I am looking for something that is stylish but dependable with quality and strength. I needed Jeans that I could wear riding horses, or at a rodeo, or a jean that I could just wear around town.  So, I decided to learn more about the brand, and I realized it was not just about the clothing, it is what I strive for in and out of the arena every day. Family is a big part of my life and means the most to me. I also look for that western look that never fades. The real western style that will allow me to stick to what I believe is the real western way of life.

I live the Kimes Ranch brand and love for what it stands for. That’s why I would love to become part of the Kimes Ranch team. I stand out, so I promise you will stand out too.
